The three f's: Fixed, Focus, f'zoom
This direction opts to make the Board fixed similar to a map using direction swipe gestures to move around. Here I used an outline, yellow for the demonstration, indicating what content is currently in focus. When a post has been in focus it is set to the seen state indicated by the lighter gray borders clearly indifcating content that has been viewed. Lastly to make the board more navigable I included what I dubbed F'Zoom levels, the F is silent. These levels include:
Full Screen (content fills the screen for the purpose of viewing te content),
- Full Screen
In this zoom level the content card fills the screen and the user can easily see and engage witht he content. Swiping in any direction will move the user to the next piece of content in that direction and pinching will zoom to the Tile View. - Tile View (3x3)
In this zoom level content appears on a 3x3 grid using thumbnails to represent what content is in the post. Here the user can tap a post in the grid to zoom into that post at its Full Screen view. Swiping in any direction will move one unit in that direction bringin in 3 new thumbnail posts from that side. Pinching at this screen will zoom out to the Macro Board View. - Macro Board View (8x8)
In this zoom level content appears on an 8x8 grid with content represented by its most prominant color. This view allow the user to scroll freely around the board and view their content path. To add context, topic labels are provided at this level since specific post details cannot be displayed at this size allowing the user to jump to other topics they may be drawn to. Tapping on any card in this view will zoom all the way to the post on the Full Screen view and using the stretch gesture will zoom the user back into the Tile View for the most centered card.
